How to Connect Your Signia Hearing Aids to Your iPhone
- Place Devices in the Charger
Start by placing both hearing devices into their charger. This will power them off. We’ll take them out in a moment to enter pairing mode. - Download the Signia App
On your iPhone, open the App Store- In the search bar, type “Signia” (S-I-G-N-I-A) and look for the red and white Signia App.
- Tap Get, the cloud icon, or Download to install the app.
- Go to Phone Settings
Before opening the app, we need to connect the devices directly to your phone.- Open your iPhone’s Settings.
- Scroll down and tap Accessibility.
- Then scroll down and tap Hearing Devices.
- Pair the Devices
- Remove both the right and left hearing devices from the charger.
- Wait a few seconds for them to turn on — they will automatically enter pairing mode.
- On the screen, you should see your name’s hearing aids listed (e.g., “John’s Hearing Aids – Signia”) with R + L next to them.
- Tap on Not Paired, then tap Pair on the Bluetooth request pop-up.
Since there are two devices, you’ll need to tap Pair twice.
- Adjust Optional Audio Settings
- After pairing, you can choose whether you want phone calls or media to stream through your hearing aids.
- To disable this, toggle off the green switches or go to Audio Routing and set Call Audio and Media Audio to Never.
- Connect to the Signia App
- Open the Signia app from your home screen.
- Tap Allow when prompted to use Bluetooth.
- When asked about notifications, choose your preference (I usually recommend tapping Don’t Allow).
- Tap the red Continue button, then tap Bluetooth and OK on the pop-up.
- Finalize Connection in the App
- The app will search and find your devices.
- Once you see checkmarks next to both the left and right device, tap the small arrow to proceed.
- You’ll see “Connection Successful.”
- Tap Let’s Go, then Setup Later, I Consent, and Skip Introduction.
Your devices are now fully connected to your iPhone and the Signia app. You’re all set!
